DEMO / PROVISIONAL — NOT WOU-APPROVED
OBE Alignment Studio
Choose a programme to align its outcomes.
How PEO, PLO, CLO, assessment and attainment fit together
- PEO
- Programme Educational Objective — what graduates are expected to achieve a few years after graduating.
- PLO
- Programme Learning Outcome — what every graduate can do by the end of the programme. Supports one or more PEOs.
- CLO
- Course Learning Outcome — what a student can do after one course. Each CLO supports PLOs.
- Assessment
- Assessment design (CA/FA component) that gives evidence for a CLO. This is design, not student marks.
- Rubric ▦
- Rubric — performance levels used to judge an assessment against a CLO.
- Attainment
- Attainment — an illustrative calculation of how far outcomes were met, from DEMO sample marks only.
Chain: CLO → PLO → PEO; CLO → assessment design (+ rubric). No WOU-approved taxonomy, mapping rule or attainment formula exists yet — alignment here is illustrative and never affects marks, results, graduation or finance.
